Background

As part of the ambitious three-year strategy we did for Lollys Laundry, we needed to create a new, high-converting brand store. Enabling further growth in both their home market and internationally, while still serving as an online flagship store.

Solution

In order to create a design that matched the brands present and future, we conducted a design workshop, where we, based on talks, examples and tests, gathered knowledge, which led to the final design after an iterative process.

To support focus on the German market, we created a dedicated German shop, which made it possible to deliver a fully localized experience .

Based on thorough calculation, Lollys Laundry upgraded to Shopify Plus, opening up for new functionality and better payment terms, which meant that money was saved each month.

To increase average order value (AOV), we removed the cart drawer and introduced a powerstep, where traditional cart overview is removed, which makes up space for cross-selling. To still provide overview and localized USPs, we introduced the cart page, making it easier to push visitors towards checkout and not back browsing.

Results

When comparing Shopify data from first five months after launch to same period in the previous year, we saw a huge impact on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and gross sales.

Conversion rate had a 23% uplift.
Average order value increased by 18%.
Add-to-cart rate increased by 34%.
Bounce rate decreased by 9%.

Gross sales increased by 31%.
